Firefox 4 Vision: fast, powerful, and empowering →
The primary goals for Firefox 4 will be making a browser:
Fast: making Firefox super-duper fast
Powerful: enabling new open, standard Web technologies (HTML5 and beyond!),
Empowering: putting users in full control of their browser, data, and Web experience.
It’s also pretty pretty, horaay!
If a man who can’t count finds a four leaf clover, is he still lucky?

The Earth is NOT a Globe
I just stumbled across a truly intriguing website called The Flat Earth Society. Although I obviously disregard all their so called “proof” it is still an interesting read for an hour or so, especially the FAQ thread. There are also lots more arguments to be found in this Google Search.

What this means for you and your non-Splinter Cell buying mates, is that you’ll likely be able to simply borrow a copy of Conviction from a chum to download the beta - so no Sam...

Focus Search Box on Page Load using "OnLoad"
You may have noticed that sites such as Google automatically have the cursor in the search box once the page has loaded. You may have noticed that this Tumblelog also does a similar thing. It’s quite easy to setup.
Say that your form was the following:
<form method="post" name="searchfield"> <input type="text" name="query" /> </form>
Then all you would need to add...

Internet Censorship
I recently discovered the updated “Internet Enemies 2010” report by Reporters Without Borders. Some of the content is fairly shocking, below is a summarised version of the report taking note of some of the more interesting facts:
In Burma, the military log activity with screen capturing software. This software takes a snapshot every 5 minutes. Services like Google Talk are also...

Switching from Wordpress to Tumblr
I only properly discovered Tumblr a few weeks a go but I’ve been in love with it ever since. Before I make a complete switch from Wordpress (which is going to take some time), I’ve purchased the Solaris Theme by Matthew Buchanan.
